About Me and Design Rocks!

My photo
Hello and welcome. Here's a bit about me: I've spent my childhood and a lot of my life traveling. Places, colour and pattern are my biggest inspiration. I've surfed & lived in a tent in Cornwall. Sketched my way round Morocco. Designed from an antique textile archive in Manhattan (dream job!). Styled and written for an interiors magazine on the sleepy island of Malta. Now I live in Manchester, UK, where I run Design Rocks greetings cards. Whilst in Manhattan I amassed a large collection of vintage textiles. These were used as inspiration for my first card range, Vintage Rocks! We sell wholesale so if you'd like a brochure visit the website or get in touch. Thanks for stopping by.

A belated valentines...

Hello friend, I love you...
..I hope one day you will be mine.

I’m dreaming about camping out in you with the gang.
we could go to Marbury park...
...we’d wake up in you, make coffee then go for a swim...
perhaps we could have a bbq then a walk too...

in the winter we could go for a nice drive , then a walk
then make hot choc and bacon sandwiches for lunch

These two single things...

Are the reason I am pretty much out of the blogosphere, i may reorbit at some time in the coming years. It's actually 4am and this is practically the only time I'll ever have to blog!!

My new range is out this week, the biz hangs in there whilst my darling bubs occupy any other free time I may have. And who knew that I'd have a gorgeous baby number 3 who's a worse sleeper and takes the record of all 3 of my insomniac children - thank god the other 2 sleep now. The record last week being 13 wakes in one night. There's almost no point sleeping!

So toodle pip people, look out for me - I'm the designer asleep on my keyboard at 3pm with a baby on my knee. (still she's as cute as a button so it's worth it!!)
