About Me and Design Rocks!

My photo
Hello and welcome. Here's a bit about me: I've spent my childhood and a lot of my life traveling. Places, colour and pattern are my biggest inspiration. I've surfed & lived in a tent in Cornwall. Sketched my way round Morocco. Designed from an antique textile archive in Manhattan (dream job!). Styled and written for an interiors magazine on the sleepy island of Malta. Now I live in Manchester, UK, where I run Design Rocks greetings cards. Whilst in Manhattan I amassed a large collection of vintage textiles. These were used as inspiration for my first card range, Vintage Rocks! We sell wholesale so if you'd like a brochure visit the website or get in touch. Thanks for stopping by.

Old Skool Exercise books

I heart vintage exercise books so I just created 5 new books in different retro chalky colours.
Here's my fave, the pink birdy one.

How curly and gorgeous is that 'E'?? Imagine people used to write in that lovely scripty way.

I've got some serious uploading and listing to do in my shops!

They're so old skool. At school I used to love the first page of a new exercise book!

I think I'm going to sell them individually and as a pack of 5 so if you want all the designs you can get them at a better price. I'll let you know when they're for sale.

Got to go - Jasmine's drawing on the walls!

p.s - Forgot to say I love your golden syrup tin as a pencil holder - I'm kicking myself for not keeping mine now!
I'm too ruthless with my recycling.

hee hee!! I am always a bit over generous with golden syrup in recipes to finish the tin quicker! I love them! I keep them all, my art desk is covered! There were some cool limited editions with slogans like perfect with pancakes! llllllllllllllove it! Jo draws on the walls....a repeat offender! xx

I'm a flapjack fan so a massive blob for that recipe means I also get through them. I loved the pancake one too!

I painted a floor to ceiling chalkboard with little bids and leaves all over it for Jas, then I turned around and she was chalking all over the dog and the rug. I think she has the creative gene!
